Sustainable Materials

Plastic pollution is a big problem in the world today. We, as a beachwear company, want to make the industry more sustainable and environmentally friendly. One of the ways we do this, is by using RPET for our towels.

So, what is PET and RPET? PET stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate. It's a type of plastic that is often used to make things like bottles. When PET is recycled, it becomes RPET, which stands for Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate.

Why is RPET important? Plastic pollution is a major threat to our environment, and it's getting worse. Since the 1950s, around one billion tons of plastic waste have been thrown away. What's even worse is that only 9% of plastic is recycled, and it takes hundreds of years for most plastics to break down naturally.

RPET vs Regular Polyester
RPET uses 85% less energy, 90% less water, and reduces CO2 emissions by 65%. This makes it a much more sustainable choice compared to regular polyester.
